Summary: The SAP Material Master Functional Consultant will play a crucial role in supporting a Greenfield ECC implementation for a steel coil manufacturing client. This position requires expertise in designing and configuring Material Master data to ensure accurate material management across various ECC modules. The consultant will also need to have a strong understanding of business processes specific to the steel industry, including coil tracking and batch management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the Material Master design and configuration activities within ECC.
- Define material types, number ranges, field selections, and views based on business requirements.
- Collaborate with functional teams (MM, SD, PP, QM, FI) to ensure proper data flow and integration.
- Set up batch management, valuation classes, units of measure, and material groups.
- Configure material master for coil identification, weight handling, and grade/quality attributes specific to steel manufacturing.
- Coordinate with the business team for legacy data collection, cleansing, and migration.
- Establish governance and approval processes for material creation and change management.
- Support testing (unit, integration, UAT) and provide training and documentation to business users.
