Summary: The consultant role focuses on designing, implementing, and managing billing processes within the SAP ISU system, with an emphasis on convergent billing functionalities and renewable energy integration. The position requires expertise in configuring billing schemas, rate determination, and invoicing, as well as experience with SAP BRIM for billing and revenue management. Collaboration with stakeholders and cross-functional teams is essential to enhance billing systems and ensure compliance with industry standards. The consultant will also be responsible for training end-users and managing large amounts of energy data for insights and process improvements.
Key Responsibilities:
- SAP IS-U Configuration and Management: Configure and manage the SAP IS-U Billing module for accurate and timely billing, including managing complex rates and automating invoicing. Troubleshoot billing issues, particularly those related to renewable energy integration.
- Convergent Billing Integration: Integrate energy and other services billed in SAP Convergent Invoicing with IS-U billing. Process renewable billing documents within IS-U invoicing.
- Renewable Energy Integration: Collect and assign data from renewable energy sources to customers or contracts. Manage feed-in tariffs, calculating payments based on current rates and regulations. Support prosumer billing, including handling two-way energy flows. Implement and manage time-of-use billing and net metering.
- Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with stakeholders to translate requirements into SAP IS-U solutions. Work with cross-functional teams to enhance billing systems and communicate project results.
- Process Improvement and Analysis: Evaluate business processes for improvements and inefficiencies, developing innovative solutions. Perform project-level analyses and create documentation. Identify SAP improvement opportunities.
- Data Management and Compliance: Efficiently manage large amounts of energy data for insights into grid performance, forecasting, and consumption trends. Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Training and Support: Provide knowledge transfer and training to end-users and support teams.
