Summary: We are looking for an experienced SAP IS-U Functional Consultant with expertise in Customer Service, Billing/Invoicing, and Contract Accounting modules to support utility operations. This remote role involves working with stakeholders to analyze, design, and configure SAP IS-U functionalities for energy providers. The consultant will lead workshops, perform testing, and provide production support while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. The position requires a deep understanding of utility industry processes and SAP IS-U components.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze and gather business requirements for SAP IS-U modules, with focus on Customer Service, Billing/Invoicing, and FI-CA processes.
  • Configure and customize SAP IS-U components to support:
  • Define functional specifications for enhancements, reports, and interfaces (IDocs/BAPIs) between SAP IS-U and third-party systems (e.g., MDMS, CRM, IVR, OMS).
  • Lead workshops with utility business teams and operations to align system capabilities with regulatory, compliance, and business process needs.
  • Perform end-to-end testing including unit, integration, and UAT with stakeholders.
  • Provide production support and resolve system issues related to billing, payments, and customer data.
  • Support migration and transformation initiatives involving S/4HANA, Cloud Platform, or SAP Analytics integration.
  • Prepare documentation including process flows, configuration guides, test scripts, and training materials.
  • Coordinate with developers and technical teams for solution realization.

Key Skills:

  • Bachelor s degree in engineering, Computer Science, or related field (MBA/CA a plus).
  • 7+ years hands-on experience in SAP IS-U CS, Billing, and FI-CA modules.
  • Deep understanding of utility industry processes including Meter-to-Cash (M2C), Time-of-Use billing, and Rate modeling.
  • Strong knowledge of SAP IS-U data model, master data, and integration with SAP FI, CRM, and external MDMS systems.
  • Experience with SAP S/4HANA, Fiori, or Embedded Analytics is a strong plus.
  • Familiarity with regulatory reporting requirements in utilities (e.g., NERC, FERC, SIP).
  • Strong communication and client engagement skills.
  • Previous experience with regulated utilities in North America preferred.

6 MONTHS CONTRACT

We are seeking an experienced SAP IS-U Functional Consultant specializing in Customer Service (CS), Billing/Invoicing, and Contract Accounting (FI-CA) modules to support complex utility operations. This role will be part of a high-performing team supporting end-to-end metering-to-cash (M2C) processes for regulated and deregulated energy providers.

You ll work closely with business stakeholders, solution architects, and data engineering teams to analyze, design, and configure SAP IS-U functionalities and integrations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze and gather business requirements for SAP IS-U modules, with focus on Customer Service, Billing/Invoicing, and FI-CA processes.
  • Configure and customize SAP IS-U components to support:

o Move-In/Move-Out (MIMO)

o Contract and connection object management

o Meter reading, consumption, and billing

o Budget billing and installment plans

o Dunning, collections, write-offs, and payments

  • Define functional specifications for enhancements, reports, and interfaces (IDocs/BAPIs) between SAP IS-U and third-party systems (e.g., MDMS, CRM, IVR, OMS).
  • Lead workshops with utility business teams and operations to align system capabilities with regulatory, compliance, and business process needs.
