Summary: We are looking for a part-time SAP IS-U Device Management Functional Consultant with expertise in Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) and ITRON integration. The consultant will be responsible for leading the functional design, configuration, and integration of SAP IS-U with various systems to facilitate remote meter operations. The role requires collaboration with multiple teams to ensure seamless business process integration and support throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the functional design and configuration of SAP IS-U Device Management components.
  • Design and manage integrations with ITRON, Head-End Systems (HES), and Meter Data Management (MDM) systems.
  • Oversee end-to-end meter lifecycle processes including installation, exchange, removal, and device master data updates.
  • Configure and support Time-of-Use (TOU) and interval read processes including exception handling.
  • Collaborate with Billing, FICA, and Field Operations teams to ensure end-to-end business process integration and issue resolution.
  • Contribute to project planning activities such as scope definition, milestone scheduling, and resource forecasting.
  • Develop and review test strategies, create test scenarios and scripts, and lead system and integration testing cycles.
  • Support cutover planning, deployment execution, and provide hypercare support post-go-live.

Key Skills:

  • 7+ years of experience in SAP IS-U Device Management configuration and implementation.
  • Hands-on experience with AMI integrations, preferably with ITRON or similar platforms.
  • Strong understanding of interval metering, TOU configuration, and remote meter operation workflows.
  • Proven experience working with Head-End Systems (HES) and MDM.
  • Good knowledge of integration with SAP modules like Billing, FICA, and Field Services.
  • Experience in full project lifecycle activities including design, testing, cutover, and go-live support.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
