Summary: The SAP ILM Technical Architect will lead the design and execution of SAP Information Lifecycle Management (ILM) architecture for the SAP BRIM Archiving Project. This role demands extensive expertise in SAP ILM, data archiving strategies, and SAP BRIM/S/4HANA landscapes, with a focus on architecture decisions and stakeholder engagement. The position is remote and requires strong technical leadership and compliance alignment. The architect will ensure seamless implementation and adherence to data privacy and audit requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and own the SAP ILM architecture for BRIM data archiving and retention
- Define archiving strategy, data objects, retention rules, and lifecycle policies aligned with business and compliance requirements
- Lead ILM configuration and technical design, including object selection, rule assignment, and data flow design
- Work closely with SAP BRIM, S/4HANA, functional, technical, and BASIS teams to ensure seamless implementation
- Support data readiness, mock runs, validation, and production execution of archiving activities
- Ensure adherence to data privacy, legal hold, retention, and audit requirements
- Identify and mitigate technical risks related to data volume, performance, and system stability
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to development and support teams
- Prepare and maintain architecture documents, technical designs, and runbooks
- Support cutover, go live, and post archiving validation activities
