SAP Functional Integration consultant

Project Context

We are looking for an experienced SAP Functional Integration professional to join a large-scale SAP S/4HANA transformation programme. The candidate must have previously worked as an Integration Manager in at least two end-to-end SAP implementation projects, with a strong understanding of cross-functional business processes and integration dependencies across multiple SAP modules.

The role requires the ability to connect functional workstreams, identify end-to-end process dependencies, drive resolution of integration issues, and ensure a consistent and integrated solution across the SAP landscape.

Key Responsibilities

• Functional Integration Management: Drive cross-functional integration across SAP modules, ensuring alignment of business processes, functional design, and solution dependencies.
• End-to-End Process Integration: Understand and validate end-to-end business processes spanning Source-to-Pay, Lead-to-Cash (O2C), Plan to Fulfil, Finance, and related processes.
• Integration Dependency Management: Identify, document, track and resolve interdependencies between functional workstreams, including master data, organisational structures, configuration, and business processes.
• Design Coordination: Facilitate cross-functional design discussions, identify gaps and inconsistencies, and drive alignment across functional teams.Take ownership and solve Integration topics and issues coordinating with the POD’s.
• Issue and Risk Resolution: Proactively identify integration risks, functional gaps, and cross-module conflicts; coordinate with relevant teams to drive timely resolution.
• Integration Testing: Ensure end-to-end integration scenarios are identified, designed, and validated through integration testing and user acceptance testing.
• Stakeholder Management: Work closely with functional leads, solution architects, technical integration teams, business stakeholders, and programme management to ensure integrated solution delivery.
• Governance and Reporting: Maintain integration trackers, dependency matrices, decision logs, and issue registers; provide clear status updates and escalate critical risks and decisions.
• Deployment Readiness: Support cutover planning, data readiness, defect resolution, and go-live preparation from an end-to-end integration perspective.

Mandatory Skills and Experience

• Minimum 15+ years of SAP experience, including significant experience in SAP implementation and transformation programmes.
• Proven experience as an Integration Manager in at least two complete end-to-end SAP implementation projects, from design through build, testing, cutover, and go-live.
• Strong functional knowledge across multiple SAP modules, preferably:
• o Source-to-Pay (S2P): SAP MM, procurement, inventory management, and integration with Ariba where applicable.
• o Order-to-Cash (O2C): SAP SD, sales order management, delivery, shipping, billing, and related processes.
• o Finance: SAP FI/CO, including integration with procurement, sales, inventory and intercompany processes.
• Strong understanding of cross-functional integration points between SAP modules and their impact on end-to-end business processes.
• Experience managing integration dependencies, resolving cross-functional design issues, and driving decisions across multiple workstreams.
• Hands-on experience in end-to-end integration testing, including scenario definition, test planning, defect triage, and resolution.
• Excellent stakeholder management, facilitation, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with SAP S/4HANA implementations in large, complex, multinational roll outs.
• Experience in multi-country SAP landscapes
• Knowledge of SAP integration with third-party applications and platforms.
• Understanding of master data dependencies, data migration, and organisational structure alignment.
• Understanding for various modules in SAP and the functional integration points
