Summary: The SAP Functional Consultant role focuses on driving a high-visibility project aimed at transitioning to a Make to Order/Stock hybrid model, enhancing visibility in the production process, and improving capacity planning. The consultant will leverage SAP functional expertise to lead solution development and implementation across various business units. This position requires collaboration with business groups and program leadership to align SAP projects with business goals. The consultant will also provide support for existing applications and drive continuous improvements in the Supply Chain Planning and IBP space.
Key Responsibilities:
- Partner with business groups, program leadership and project teams to deliver SAP projects across multiple business units.
- Work collaboratively with Program Leadership to develop business process design and roadmap/strategy in the SAP PP, MM, IBP space, aligned with business goals.
- Lead business sessions to define high-level business goals/vision, extract business requirements and software selection, define performance indicators, and architect the solution on various IT platforms.
- Provide solution expertise in SAP PP & MM module with extensive knowledge of the integration aspects of different business processes with SAP SD & FI areas.
- Drive improvement and support for SAP IBP S&OP & Order based planning (OBP).
- Develop operating procedures, training materials, test scripts and test cases in the PP/MM/IBP/OBP area.
- Work closely with business and IT to provide support and continuous improvements for applications already in production and used extensively for day-to-day operations.
- Adhere to Varian's process in managing the changes through the SAP landscape.
Key Skills:
- Demonstrated ability to drive projects.
- Knowledge and experience in SAP PP & MM module configuration in SAP S4 and integrations with other modules such as SD.
- Knowledge and experience with capacity planning and scheduling, MRP, Kanban, manufacturing process setup.
- Experience with Make to Order and Make to Stock strategies.

We're working on a high visibility project around a shift to Make to Order/Stock hybrid model while trying to bring more visibility to the entire production process and have a more clear capacity planning view. We need SAP functional expertise in this area to drive the solutioning and setup.
