SAP Finance & Govt Accounting Lead

Summary: The SAP Finance & Govt Accounting Lead is responsible for configuring and maintaining SAP Financial Management modules, ensuring compliance with government regulations, and overseeing financial operations such as accounts payable and receivable. The role also involves budget management, integration support, and financial reporting and analysis. Key Responsibilities:

• Configure and support SAP Financial Management modules, specifically Public Sector Management (PSM-FM), Funds Management (FM), and General Ledger.
• Ensure compliance with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), Cost Accounting Standards (CAS), and Government Accounting Standards Board (GASB) guidelines.
• Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, and complex month-end/year-end close processes.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, allotment, and appropriation tracking within SAP.
• Manage interfaces between SAP and other systems, providing functional support and troubleshooting for end-users.
• Prepare, analyze, and present financial data and reports for auditing purposes.

Key Skills:

• 3-5+ years of experience in SAP FICO, with specific experience in government, public sector, or federal implementations.
• Deep knowledge of SAP ECC or S/4HANA financial modules, particularly Funds Management (FM) and Project System (PS).
• Strong understanding of governmental accounting principles (GASB) and federal acquisition regulations (FAR).
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to communicate complex technical concepts.
