Key Responsibilities:
- Support the implementation and configuration of SAP S/4HANA General Ledger functionality.
- Assist in the reconciliation and migration of legacy GL balances and master data to S/4HANA.
- Contribute to configuration of other FICO components including AP, AR, Asset Accounting, and Controlling.
- Prepare and execute functional test cases and support UAT activities.
- Develop and maintain documentation for GL design, configurations, and process flows.
- Collaborate with Funds Management (FM) and Grants Management (GM) teams for integration and compliance.
Key Skills:
- 8+ years of SAP FICO experience with specialization in General Ledger Accounting.

Position Overview:
We are seeking an SAP FICO Consultant with deep expertise in General Ledger (GL) processes to support the S/4HANA implementation. This consultant will work alongside finance transformation teams to ensure accurate configuration, data alignment, testing, and transition of GL functionality and related processes.
Description:
- Support the implementation and configuration of SAP S/4HANA General Ledger functionality, including:
- Universal Journal setup and data model alignment
- Document splitting
- Parallel ledgers and accounting principles
- Ledger groups and posting scenarios
- Assist in the reconciliation and migration of legacy GL balances and master data to S/4HANA
- Support development of crosswalks for chart of accounts, cost centers, funds, and other master data.
- Contribute to configuration of other FICO components including AP, AR, Asset Accounting, and Controlling, as needed.
- Prepare and execute functional test cases and support UAT activities.
- Develop and maintain documentation for GL design, configurations, and process flows.
- Collaborate with Funds Management (FM) and Grants Management (GM) teams to ensure proper integration and compliance.
Requirements:
- 8+ years of SAP FICO experience with strong specialization in General Ledger Accounting.
- At least one public sector SAP S/4HANA implementation or migration, including hands-on configuration of the Universal Journal.
- Experience with New GL and Classic GL migration to S/4HANA, including document splitting and parallel accounting.
- Solid understanding of public sector accounting principles and compliance requirements.
- Strong experience with configuration of posting periods, account groups, financial statement versions, validations/substitutions, and financial closing processes.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams including FM, GM, CO, and logistics modules.
