Summary: The role of SAP FICO Functional Consultant (Data Migration) involves leading the implementation of SAP, focusing on data migration processes. The consultant will analyze legacy data, conduct quality checks, and provide direction to development teams while ensuring successful data migration. Strong communication and analytical skills are essential for collaborating with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. This position is remote and requires significant experience in SAP Finance implementations and data migration tools.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead business workshops for blueprinting activities.
  • Analyze legacy data, perform quality checks on load files, and lead user testing and acceptance of load processes.
  • Provide input into specifications for automated data migration transformation rules and identify duplicate records.
  • Perform high-level and detailed analysis of customer business processes and requirements for data migration.
  • Provide direction to SAP BODS / ADM development teams and participate in coding, testing, documentation, and maintenance activities.
  • Document data migration requirements and assist with project planning, load scheduling, testing, troubleshooting, and issue resolution.
  • Create functional documentation for data migration field mapping and rules.
  • Evaluate IT and business challenges and provide solutions.
  • Maintain strong client service attitude and organizational skills.

Key Skills:

  • 8+ years of overall experience in SAP Finance Implementations / Rollouts.
  • 2+ years of experience with S/4 HANA Implementations / Rollouts.
  • Expertise in SAP S/4 HANA Data Migration for Finance Master/transaction data.
  • Experience with Data Migration Tools like SAP BODS/IS, Syniti, and SAP S4 HANA Migration Cockpit.
  • Solid knowledge of system development methodology, project management, and system architecture.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate between business users and IT resources.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Fluency in English.

Job Description:

Our SAP Implementation FICO Functional Consultant will lead others through the implementation of SAP.

  • Ability to lead business workshops for blueprinting activities
  • Analyzing legacy data, quality check of submitted load files, testing load quality, leading user testing and acceptance of load process, providing input into specifications for automated data migration transformation rules, analysis and identification of duplicate records and other activities required for successful and on time data migration
  • Perform high-level analysis of customer business processes and requirements to support project Data Migration requirements with proposed solutions
  • Perform detailed analysis of customer requirements to produce custom solution specifications
  • Provide direction to SAP BODS / ADM development teams for solution realization and participate, as necessary, during coding, testing, documentation, and maintenance activities
  • Work closely with Data Migration team to document data migration requirements, on project planning and load scheduling, testing, troubleshooting, and issue resolution
  • 8+ of Overall experience in SAP Finance Implementations / Rollouts
  • 2+ Yrs. of experience with S/4 HANA Implementations / Rollout experience
  • SAP S/4 HANA Data Migration expertise in SAP Finance Master / transaction data including GL Accounts, Assets, GL/AR /AP Balances etc..
  • Exposure in using Data Migration Tools like SAP BODS/IS, Syniti / Backoffice Associates ADM, SAP S4 HANA Migration Cockpit etc..
  • Experience with creating functional documentation for data migration field mapping, rules etc..
  • Solid knowledge of system development methodology, project management and system architecture, preferably involving the implementation of SAP.
  • Solid analytical / problem solving skills
  • Ability to evaluate IT and business challenges from a broad perspective.
  • Strong influencing and excellent communication skills. Ability to translate between non-technical business users and technical IT resources.
