Summary: The SAP FICO Consultant role involves facilitating the implementation and support of SAP Financials, with a focus on various accounting functions. The consultant will analyze business processes, document requirements, and provide system solutions while acting as a liaison between clients and technical teams. The position requires a proactive approach to identifying enhancements and providing training and support to users. Fluency in both French and English is essential for effective communication in this remote role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitate the implementation and support of SAP Financials (FICO).
- Perform detailed analysis of complex business process requirements and provide appropriate system solutions.
- Facilitate workshops to collect business requirements.
- Map client business requirements, processes, and objectives; develop necessary product modifications.
- Design, customize, configure, and test FI/CO modules.
- Identify gaps, issues, and work around solutions.
- Act as liaison with clients for troubleshooting and solving software problems.
- Document functional designs, test cases, and results.
- Proactively identify and propose business process and/or system enhancements.
- Provide consulting services on new implementations and existing support projects.
- Act as a liaison between business functions and the technical team.
- Provide ad-hoc training and user support as required.
- Work self-directed and independently; may act as subject matter mentor to junior members.
Key Skills:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in full cycle implementation and support projects.
- Minimum of 3 years SAP experience supporting General Ledger and additional functions.
- Experience in FI integration points with other SAP modules.
- Fluently bilingual in French and English.
- Ability to multitask and manage multiple deliverables and projects.
- Experience in a Professional Services or Distribution company is an asset.
- Understanding of accounting business processes.
- Ability to understand business processes from a customer perspective.
- Ability to work in a team environment and effectively interact with others.
- Results-oriented with a can-do attitude and adaptability.
