Summary: We are looking for a highly skilled SAP Commerce Cloud (CCv2) SOLR Search Expert to join our development team. The candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing SOLR-based search functionalities within the SAP Commerce Cloud environment. This role requires collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure effective and scalable search capabilities. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in SOLR configurations and performance tuning.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, configure, and optimize SOLR search functionality in SAP Commerce Cloud (CCv2).
- Implement custom search features using SOLR query parsers, facets, filters, and synonyms.
- Develop and maintain indexing strategies, including custom item indexers and indexed properties.
- Troubleshoot and resolve search-related issues in CCv2 environments (including staging and production).
- Perform search performance tuning and recommend best practices for high-traffic e-commerce sites.
- Collaborate with product teams to deliver search features aligned with business goals.
- Support the migration, deployment, and CI/CD of search-related configurations and code.
- Maintain up-to-date documentation of search architecture and configurations.
- Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to development best practices.
- Assist in integration with external search services, if needed.
Key Skills:
- 5+ years of experience with SAP Commerce (Hybris), with at least 2 years in CCv2 (Cloud-native).
- Strong experience with Apache SOLR: schema design, indexing, querying, and performance tuning.
- Proficient in Java, Spring, and Hybris core platform development.
- Experience with Backoffice.
- Solid understanding of faceted navigation, search relevancy tuning, autosuggest, and search personalization.
- Knowledge of Headless commerce architectures, RESTful APIs, and integration patterns.
- Experience working in agile development teams and using JIRA/Confluence.
