Summary: The role of SAP BTP Consultant focuses on leveraging expert-level experience in the CAPM Cloud Application Programming Model to develop solutions on the SAP Business Technology Platform. The position requires a strong background in backend service development, particularly with Node.js or Java, and involves working with various SAP technologies and methodologies. The consultant will be expected to engage in deployment, lifecycle management, and agile delivery models throughout the contract duration. This is a remote position aligned with US EST hours.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop solutions using SAP BTP Business Technology Platform.
- Utilize CAPM Cloud Application Programming Model for application development.
- Design and integrate OData V4 services.
- Work with SAP Business Application Studio for cloud-native development.
- Model database artifacts using SAP HANA and HANA Cloud CDS.
- Implement REST APIs and service integrations.
- Develop SAP Fiori/UI5 applications at basic to intermediate levels.
- Manage authentication and authorization roles and catalogs.
- Oversee deployment and lifecycle management on BTP.
- Conduct debugging, performance tuning, and unit testing.
- Collaborate within Agile delivery models.
Key Skills:
- 7+ years of experience in SAP BTP development.
- Expert-level experience in CAPM Cloud Application Programming Model.
- Proficiency in Node.js and/or Java for backend service development.
- Experience with OData V4 services design and integration.
- Strong exposure to SAP Business Application Studio and cloud-native development.
- Experience in SAP HANA and HANA Cloud CDS modeling.
- Knowledge of REST APIs and service integration.
- Experience in SAP Fiori/UI5 application development.
- Understanding of multi-tier cloud architecture and microservices design.
- Experience with authentication and authorization (IAS, XSUAA).
- Hands-on experience in deployment and lifecycle management on BTP.
