Summary: The SAP Boomi Integration Consultant will design, build, deploy, and support EDI integrations between SAP S/4HANA RISE and SPS Commerce using the Boomi middleware platform. This role involves managing the full lifecycle of integration projects, including requirements gathering, development, testing, and support. The consultant will ensure reliable data exchange for various wholesale transactions while collaborating with stakeholders and support teams. Travel may be required when necessary for client engagements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead stakeholder workshops to capture detailed EDI needs (POs, ASNs, invoices).
  • Specify data mappings between SAP IDocs/BAPIs and SPS Commerce EDI standards (ANSI X12, EDIFACT).
  • Build and unit-test Boomi integration processes, including data transformations and error-handling logic.
  • Configure secure transports (AS2, SFTP, HTTPS) and any Boomi-hosted API endpoints.
  • Drive system and user acceptance testing with simulated EDI transactions.
  • Lead cut-over activities: deploy integrations to production, validate live message flows, manage hypercare support.
  • Monitor running interfaces, troubleshoot issues, and apply performance optimizations.
  • Produce interface design documents, run-books, and operational guides.
  • Train support teams on Boomi process management and EDI exception handling.

Key Skills:

  • 3 years hands-on experience designing and delivering Boomi middleware integrations.

Role Overview

Design, build, deploy, and support end-to-end EDI integrations between SAP S/4HANA RISE and SPS Commerce using the Boomi middleware platform. You ll own the full lifecycle requirements gathering, mapping, development, testing, go-live, and hypercare ensuring reliable, scalable data exchange for purchase orders, ASNs, invoices, and related wholesale transactions.

  • Strong understanding of ANSI X12 and/or EDIFACT standards and partner certification.

SAP Integration

  • Experience mapping SAP S/4HANA IDocs or BAPI calls for wholesale/B2B scenarios.
  • HTTP Client / OData Connector
  • SAP Connector
  • File-based connector such as Disk or FTP Connector

Technical Skills

  • Proficient with data transformation (XML/JSON/XSLT) and scripting within Boomi processes.
  • Familiar with REST/SOAP services and secure file-transfer protocols.

Soft Skills

  • Excellent communicator, able to bridge business and technical audiences.
  • Strong analytical mindset and attention to detail.

Education & Certification

  • Bachelor s in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
  • Boomi Professional Developer certification (preferred).

Preferred Qualifications

  • SAP Retail or Wholesale implementation experience on S/4HANA RISE
  • Familiarity with 3PL integrations (ASN acknowledgments, shipment events)
  • Agile delivery experience (JIRA/Confluence)
  • Exposure to hybrid integration tools (e.g., SAP CPI/CPI-DS)
