SAP Basis Migration Consultant

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced SAP Basis Migration Consultant to lead the technical assessment, planning, execution, and stabilization of a heterogeneous SAP ERP migration from HP-UX/Oracle 11.2.0.3 to RHEL/Oracle 19c.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess SAP ERP 6.0 EhP6 landscape, SAP_BASIS, SAP_ABA, SAP_APPL, kernel, Oracle, and HP-UX versions.
• Review support packages, interfaces, add-ons, custom developments, and system dependencies.
• Validate SAP supportability for RHEL 9, Oracle 19c, SAP kernel, Oracle client, and BR*Tools.
• Assess Unicode conversion requirements and prerequisite remediation.
• Determine the appropriate migration approach using SWPM, R3load/Migration Monitor, or SUM/DMO.
• Develop migration estimates, timelines, staffing plans, risks, cutover duration, and fallback strategy.
• Define target SAP/Oracle architecture, storage, networking, backup/recovery, monitoring, HA, and DR.
• Lead technical migration, cutover, validation, and post-go-live stabilization.
• Optimize migration downtime and support technical troubleshooting during hypercare.

Required / Preferred Skills

• Strong SAP Basis administration and migration experience.
• Hands-on experience with SAP ECC 6.0 EhP6/EhP7/EhP8 and NetWeaver 7.x.
• Proven migrations from HP-UX/AIX/Solaris/Windows to RHEL/SUSE/Linux.
• Strong SAP SUM, DMO, DMO with System Move, SWPM, R3load, and Migration Monitor experience.
• Experience with Oracle-to-Oracle SAP database migrations, preferably multi-terabyte environments.
• Experience with SAP Unicode Conversion and SAP Kernel upgrades.
• Strong Oracle 19c, Oracle Client, and BR*Tools knowledge.
• Experience with SAP system copies and heterogeneous migrations.
• Knowledge of SAP Solution Manager, Focused Run, Cloud ALM, ChaRM, and monitoring.
• Experience with enterprise backup/recovery, SAN/NAS, storage replication, and performance tuning.
• Strong migration planning, cutover, troubleshooting, and stabilization experience.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.
