Summary: We are seeking an experienced SAP Basis Specialist for a 6-month fully remote contract to support a complex SAP landscape. The role involves administration, maintenance, and optimization of SAP systems, along with incident management and collaboration with cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on experience in SAP Basis administration and a strong technical background. This position requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and effective communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer, maintain, and optimise a large-scale SAP landscape
- Manage incidents, perform root cause analysis, and provide occasional out-of-hours support
- Deliver upgrades, migrations, patching, and performance tuning
- Support new implementations and continuous improvement initiatives
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align SAP services with business needs
- Drive operational efficiencies and ensure compliance with IT governance standards
- Mentor team members and maintain clear technical documentation
Key Skills:
- 5+ years’ hands-on SAP Basis administration
- Strong experience across ECC, IS-U, CRM, BW, PI/PO, BO/DS, Enterprise Portal, and Solution Manager
- Expertise with Linux and DB2 databases, including performance tuning
- Proven track record in SAP installations, upgrades, and support pack implementations
- Strong monitoring, troubleshooting, and proactive issue resolution skills
- Solid Solution Manager experience (EWA, ChaRM, Technical Monitoring, RCA)
- Confident communicator with the ability to work independently and within teams
