SAP Ariba Techno-Functional Consultant

Position Overview

We’re seeking an experienced SAP Ariba Techno-Functional Consultant to support project and operational needs on an on-demand basis. This role combines functional knowledge of procurement and Ariba processes with the technical skills needed to configure, integrate, troubleshoot, and improve Ariba solutions.

The consultant will work with business stakeholders, procurement teams, and technical partners to understand requirements and deliver practical solutions across the SAP Ariba landscape.

Responsibilities

• Gather and analyze business requirements for procurement and supplier management processes.
• Configure and support SAP Ariba solutions based on project and business needs.
• Translate functional requirements into technical specifications and implementation plans.
• Support integrations between SAP Ariba and SAP ERP or other enterprise systems.
• Troubleshoot configuration, integration, workflow, and data issues.
• Assist with testing, including test planning, execution, defect resolution, and user acceptance testing.
• Prepare functional and technical documentation, including configuration guides and process flows.
• Support deployments, enhancements, upgrades, and post-go-live activities.
• Collaborate with procurement, finance, IT, and supplier-facing teams.
• Provide knowledge transfer and guidance to business users and support teams.

Required Qualifications

• Hands-on experience implementing or supporting SAP Ariba solutions in a techno-functional capacity.
• Strong understanding of procurement processes, such as sourcing, purchasing, invoicing, and supplier management.
• Experience gathering requirements and translating them into Ariba configurations or technical solutions.
• Experience supporting integrations between SAP Ariba and SAP ERP or other systems.
• Ability to troubleshoot functional and technical issues and communicate solutions clearly.
• Strong documentation, analytical, and stakeholder communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage assignments in a remote, on-demand environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with one or more SAP Ariba modules, such as:
• SAP Ariba Buying and Invoicing
• SAP Ariba Sourcing
• SAP Ariba Supplier Lifecycle and Performance
• SAP Ariba Contracts
• SAP Business Network
• Familiarity with integration technologies and tools used in SAP environments, such as SAP Integration Suite, CIG, APIs, cXML, or IDocs.
• Experience with SAP S/4HANA or SAP ECC integration.
• Experience supporting testing, deployment, and post-production stabilization.
