Salesforce QA Engineer with Child Welfare Domain

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced QA Engineer with strong hands-on experience in Salesforce application testing and knowledge of the Child Welfare domain.

The ideal candidate will have expertise in functional, integration, system, regression, and end-to-end testing, along with experience in Selenium-based test automation.

The candidate will be responsible for validating Salesforce-based child welfare case management applications, ensuring business workflows, integrations, security, data quality, and regulatory requirements are functioning as expected.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and execute manual and automated test cases for Salesforce applications.
  • Perform end-to-end testing of Child Welfare case management workflows, including:
  • Intake and referrals
  • Investigations and safety assessments
  • Risk assessments
  • Foster care and placement
  • Case management and care plans
  • Court-related activities
  • Permanency and adoption
  • Validate Salesforce standard and custom functionality, including Custom Objects, Fields, Flows, Apex Triggers, Lightning Web Components (LWC), and workflow automation.
  • Perform functional, regression, integration, system, API, and end-to-end testing.
  • Develop and maintain automated regression suites using Selenium WebDriver.
  • Create robust XPath/CSS selectors for Salesforce Lightning and dynamic UI components.
  • Validate integrations and data synchronization between Salesforce and external/state child welfare systems.
  • Validate business rules related to eligibility, risk assessment, provider matching, workflow automation, and case assignment.
  • Perform API testing using tools such as Postman and validate backend data using SQL.
  • Execute testing across Salesforce Sandboxes and other QA/UAT environments.
  • Identify, document, prioritize, and track defects using Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar tools.
  • Participate in defect triage, root-cause analysis, sprint planning, backlog refinement, and release activities.
  • Collaborate closely with Developers, Salesforce Administrators, Business Analysts, Product Owners, and Child Welfare SMEs.
  • Prepare test plans, test scenarios, test data, execution reports, and QA status reports.
  • Support UAT and production release validation.

Required Skills

  • 10+ years of QA/testing experience.
  • 5+ years of strong hands-on experience testing Salesforce applications.
  • Experience with Salesforce CRM/case management applications.
  • Strong experience with Selenium WebDriver and UI automation.
  • Strong understanding of:
  • Salesforce Flows
  • Apex Triggers
  • Custom Objects
  • Lightning/LWC
  • Salesforce security and sharing
  • Salesforce integrations
  • Hands-on experience with API testing, preferably Postman.
  • Good knowledge of SQL/database validation.
  • Strong understanding of SDLC, STLC, defect lifecycle, and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
  • Experience with Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar defect/test management tools.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills.
