Summary: The Salesforce Program/Project Manager role involves leading strategic initiatives on the Salesforce platform, particularly focusing on Service Cloud and integrations with systems like NetSuite. The position requires a blend of extensive Salesforce delivery experience and strong project management skills to ensure effective collaboration among technical teams, business stakeholders, and vendors. The ideal candidate should have a solid understanding of ERP integrations and Salesforce technical concepts. This is a contract position based in Canada with remote working options available.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of Salesforce projects across Service Cloud, Omnichannel, and integration streams.
- Develop detailed project plans, manage resources, mitigate risks, and establish communication frameworks to ensure on-time and within-scope delivery.
- Oversee project scope, schedule, budget, and quality using Agile or hybrid methodologies as appropriate.
- Facilitate sprint ceremonies including planning, backlog grooming, stand-ups, and retrospectives in partnership with Product Owners and technical leads.
- Serve as the primary liaison between business stakeholders, Salesforce teams (Admins, Developers, Architects), and external partners.
- Translate complex technical concepts (APIs, data flows, integration patterns) into business-aligned communication for stakeholders.
- Drive alignment across cross-functional teams-Salesforce, ERP, DevOps, and Support-to deliver cohesive end-to-end solutions.
- Collaborate with the Salesforce Technical Architect to align implementation roadmaps, design decisions, and release strategies.
- Coordinate data migration, environment management, and deployment schedules across sandboxes and production.
- Support integration initiatives with NetSuite (customers, orders, invoices, etc.) ensuring effective collaboration with ERP teams.
- Oversee testing strategy, user acceptance testing (UAT), and post-release validation.
- Enforce delivery standards, documentation practices, and release governance.
- Maintain project documentation including RAID logs, sprint reports, and executive summaries.
- Monitor delivery KPIs-velocity, defect rate, stakeholder satisfaction-and drive continuous improvement.
- Identify and manage risks, dependencies, and blockers across multiple workstreams.
- Escalate issues with transparency and ensure timely resolution.
- Maintain compliance with security, audit, and regulatory requirements throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Skills:
- 7+ years of professional experience, including 3+ years managing Salesforce projects (Service Cloud, Sales Cloud, or similar).
- Proven experience leading multi-system integration projects, ideally involving Salesforce and NetSuite (or other ERPs).
- Strong understanding of Salesforce capabilities (Service Cloud, Omni-Channel, Flows, APIs, AppExchange).
- Demonstrated ability to coordinate technical and non-technical teams in complex stakeholder environments.
- Hands-on experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and tools such as Jira or equivalent.
- Exceptional organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
- Salesforce certifications such as Salesforce Certified Administrator, Service Cloud Consultant, or PMP/Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP) are preferred.
- Familiarity with NetSuite SuiteTalk/SuiteScript or middleware platforms (MuleSoft, Boomi, etc.) is a plus.
- Understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC), CI/CD, and DevOps practices.
- Experience managing or collaborating with Salesforce Architects, Developers, and Admins.
- Exposure to data migration, change management, and enterprise-level release governance.
