Summary: The Principal Salesforce Engineer will focus on architecting and leading the development of Insurance Cloud and Health Cloud solutions. This role requires deep expertise in Salesforce technologies and a strong understanding of the insurance domain. The position is remote-first with occasional UK travel and is classified as outside IR35. The contract is initially for six months with potential for extension.
Key Responsibilities:
- Architect and lead build of Insurance Cloud and Health Cloud solutions including product model & quote management
- Design scalable integrations between Salesforce and enterprise systems (APIs, middleware, OmniStudio)
- Drive adoption of OmniStudio components (FlexCards, OmniScripts, DataRaptor, Integration Procedures) with strong adherence to best practices
- Oversee CI/CD pipelines, testing, version control, and reusable component frameworks
- Provide hands-on delivery leadership: code review, technical mentorship, solution documentation, standards governance
- Engage stakeholders across business and technical disciplines to translate insurance requirements into robust Salesforce architecture
- Ensure compliance with regulatory, security, and data privacy standards in health/insurance systems
Key Skills:
- Proven track record in Salesforce SFI/Vlocity Insurance Cloud and Health Cloud implementations, with familiarity using the FSC data model
- Deep expertise in OmniStudio technologies (FlexCards, OmniScripts, DataRaptor, Integration Procedures)
- Hands-on with Apex, LWC, and Salesforce declarative capabilities
- Experience architecting product model, quote, and policy life-cycle solutions
- Strong integration design background (APIs, MuleSoft, SOAP/REST)
- Agile delivery methodology and proven leadership in enterprise transformation programmes
- Insurance domain knowledge: health and/or life experience is preferred
