Summary: The Principal Salesforce Engineer will lead the architecture and implementation of Insurance Cloud and Health Cloud solutions, focusing on product modeling and quote management. This role requires deep expertise in Salesforce technologies, particularly OmniStudio, and involves hands-on leadership in delivery and compliance with regulatory standards. The position is remote-first with occasional travel within the UK and is classified as outside IR35. The contract is initially for six months with a strong potential for extension.
Key Responsibilities:
- Architect and lead build of Insurance Cloud and Health Cloud solutions including product model & quote management
- Design scalable integrations between Salesforce and enterprise systems (APIs, middleware, OmniStudio)
- Drive adoption of OmniStudio components (FlexCards, OmniScripts, DataRaptor, Integration Procedures) with strong adherence to best practices
- Oversee CI/CD pipelines, testing, version control, and reusable component frameworks
- Provide hands-on delivery leadership: code review, technical mentorship, solution documentation, standards governance
- Engage stakeholders across business and technical disciplines to translate insurance requirements into robust Salesforce architecture
- Ensure compliance with regulatory, security, and data privacy standards in health/insurance systems
Key Skills:
- Proven track record in Salesforce SFI/Vlocity Insurance Cloud and Health Cloud implementations, with familiarity using the FSC data model.
- Deep expertise in OmniStudio technologies (FlexCards, OmniScripts, DataRaptor, Integration Procedures)
- Hands-on with Apex, LWC, and Salesforce declarative capabilities
- Experience architecting product model, quote, and policy life-cycle solutions
- Strong integration design background (APIs, MuleSoft, SOAP/REST)
- Agile delivery methodology and proven leadership in enterprise transformation programmes
- Insurance domain knowledge: health and/or life experience is preferred
