Description: Salesforce Marketing Specialist I
Location: 100% Remote (Colorado or Minnesota candidates would be preferred)
Duration: 10+ Months (Extendable)
10 hours/week (flexible based on availability and scope)
Key Responsibilities
Salesforce Marketing Cloud (Primary Focus)
Audit current Marketing Cloud setup and suggest/align the platform to best practices
Build and optimize single email sends and triggered journeys in Journey Builder, including entry criteria, path logic, and testing
Set up and QA Email Studio sends, dynamic content, and AMPscript where needed
Maintain and organize data extensions, synchronized data, and audience segmentation
Support ongoing list hygiene, opt-out management, and CRM data syncs (Sales Cloud Marketing Cloud)
Collaborate with internal marketing and sales stakeholders to prioritize and execute on roadmap items
Recommend journey improvements, segmentation strategies, and performance tracking methods
Reporting & Analytics (Secondary Focus)
Build and maintain regular performance reports across email and campaign channels
Translate campaign data into clear, actionable insights for marketing and sales stakeholders
Track KPIs and flag trends or issues proactively
Required Experience
3+ years working with Salesforce Marketing Cloud, including Journey Builder, Email Studio, and Contact Builder
Comfortable working with data extensions and complex segmentation logic (SQL experience is a bonus)
Familiarity with Salesforce Sales Cloud and contact/lead/campaign/campaign member objects
An understanding of cross-cloud integration (Marketing Cloud Sales Cloud)
Strong understanding of email marketing best practices (deliverability, segmentation, personalization, testing, and compliance)
Excellent attention to detail and organization skills
Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate data into actionable insights
Self-starter who can work independently and isn't afraid to ask thoughtful questions
Willingness and aptitude to learn new platforms
Preferred / Nice-to-Have
Experience with SQL and/or HTML
Familiarity with Google Analytics (GA4) and performance reporting
Familiarity with SalesWings, PowerBI, or Marketing Cloud Connector
