Summary: The role of SFMC Consultant involves leveraging Salesforce Marketing Cloud and Data Cloud to design and implement data-driven customer engagement solutions. The consultant will collaborate with stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical architecture while executing configuration tasks and guiding teams on best practices. This position is primarily remote, with a preference for candidates located on the East Coast of the USA. The contract length is expected to be between 6 to 12 months.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as a hybrid functional technical resource connecting business objectives with Salesforce platform capabilities.
- Partner with stakeholders to define and document requirements, translating them into user stories, epics, and process flows.
- Execute light configuration tasks across Data Cloud and Marketing Cloud.
- Collaborate with Solution and Technical Architects to validate feasibility and align delivery with platform best practices.
- Support backlog grooming, UAT coordination, and change readiness across cross-functional teams.
- Drive end-to-end marketing solutions using Salesforce Marketing Cloud.
- Design scalable data models and ensure seamless integration with CRM systems and external data platforms.
- Guide teams on best practices for Marketing Cloud capabilities.
- Oversee the implementation of APIs, connectors, and custom solutions for marketing automation workflows.
- Lead technical teams in solution delivery, performance tuning, QA, and continuous improvement.
Key Skills:
- 5+ years of experience in marketing technology solutions with 2+ years dedicated to Salesforce Marketing Cloud implementations.
- Expertise in AMPscript, SQL, SSJS, HTML/CSS for email and message personalization and scripting.
- Experience integrating Marketing Cloud with Salesforce Core CRM and other external data sources.
- Proficient in designing data extensions, contact models, subscriber management, and segmentation strategies.
- Strong understanding of marketing automation principles, GDPR/CCPA compliance, and campaign performance metrics.
- Salesforce Marketing Cloud certifications required.
- Experience with Personalization, CDP, or Intelligence Reports for Marketing Cloud is a plus.
- Familiarity with AI/ML-driven personalization and A/B testing strategies in marketing.

Responsibilities:

Skills & Experience
5+ years of experience in marketing technology solutions with 2+ years dedicated to Salesforce Marketing Cloud implementations.
Expertise in AMPscript, SQL, SSJS, HTML/CSS for email and message personalization and scripting.
Experience integrating Marketing Cloud with Salesforce Core CRM and other external data sources using Marketing Cloud Connect, APIs, and ETL platforms.
Proficient in designing data extensions, contact models, subscriber management, and segmentation strategies.
Strong understanding of marketing automation principles, GDPR/CCPA compliance, and campaign performance metrics.
Salesforce Marketing Cloud certifications (e.g., Marketing Cloud Email Specialist, Marketing Cloud Consultant) required.
