Salesforce Developer

Summary: The Senior Salesforce Developer role involves designing, developing, and deploying high-quality business solutions on the Salesforce platform. The position requires collaboration with cross-functional teams and mentoring junior developers while ensuring adherence to best practices and coding standards. The developer will also integrate Salesforce with external systems and automate business processes using various Salesforce tools. This long-term position offers flexibility in location, being either remote or based in Albany, NY.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, test, document, and deploy high-quality business solutions on the Salesforce platform.
• Work with the Technical Architect and Technical Lead to implement scalable Salesforce solutions, considering best practices, design patterns, and platform limits.
• Mentor and guide junior developers, providing technical expertise and helping them grow their skills in Salesforce development.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including business analysts, project managers, and quality assurance testers to deliver integrated solutions.
• Develop end to end Salesforce Application using Configuration and Customization - APEX Class, Triggers, Visualforce pages, Lightning components etc.
• Automate business processes using Salesforce automation tools, such as Process Builder, Workflows, Formulas, Flow, Assignment Rules and email Alerts.
• Extensive experience in developing Lightning Components - both within the Salesforce Lightning Design System and by writing custom Lightning Components.
• Integrate Salesforce with external systems using APIs, web services, and middleware platforms.
• Perform code reviews to ensure quality, performance, and adherence to coding standards.
• Exposure to version control and continuous integration via Bitbucket or Github.
• Experience with deployment tools like GIT, Azure/Devops, Gearset, Copado and Salesforce.
• Knowledge of different Code Scanning tools for Salesforce: PMD/Clayton.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to Salesforce configuration and customization.

Key Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Salesforce.com certifications: Certified Platform Developer I and II, Salesforce Certified Administrator (mandatory); Service Cloud Consultant, Sharing and Visibility Architect (recommended).
• Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in Salesforce development, with a focus on Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Components, and integrations.
• Strong understanding of Salesforce architecture, data model, security model, and governor limits.
• Experience leading development teams and mentoring junior developers.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
• Proven track record of delivering complex Salesforce solutions on time and within budget.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
