Summary: The Salesforce Backlogs Developer is responsible for designing and implementing scalable solutions within the Salesforce platform, focusing on development and backlog execution without administrative duties. This role involves collaboration with Financial and Project Management teams to enhance operational efficiency through automation and integrations. The developer will also manage deployment workflows and source control practices in alignment with SDLC standards. This position reports to the client Salesforce Platform Lead.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain declarative automations (e.g., Flows) to streamline business processes.
- Refactor legacy automation (e.g., Process Builders) into optimized Flow solutions.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex Salesforce issues related to automation, integrations, and performance.
- Integrate Salesforce with third-party platforms such as Certinia (formerly FinancialForce).
- Enhance customizations using Apex, Visualforce, and Lightning Web Components (LWC).
- Manage deployments using tools like Gearset, following SDLC best practices.
- Collaborate with DevOps teams on source control and release management (e.g., Git).
- Translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
Qualifications
- 5-8 years of experience in Salesforce development (non-admin)
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Finance, or related field
- Advanced proficiency in Flow Builder and declarative automation
- Intermediate coding skills in Apex, Visualforce, and LWC
- Experience integrating Salesforce with financial/project management platforms
- Strong troubleshooting skills across Salesforce components
- Familiarity with Gearset, change sets, and SDLC methodology
- Exposure to DevOps tools and practices (Bitbucket, GitHub, etc.)
- Salesforce Platform Developer and App Builder certifications preferred
- Strong analytical, documentation, and collaboration skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication
