Summary: The Global Safety & Security Risk Manager will be responsible for embedding a culture of effective safety and security risk management across global operations. This role involves providing strategic guidance, leading crisis response initiatives, and supporting international teams to ensure safe operational activities. The position is a full-time, fixed-term contract for two years, allowing for remote work from any country where the client is legally registered. Key Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic guidance on safety and security risk management to senior leadership, including the Board and Executive Team
- Set and implement global standards, risk levels, and guidance for safety and security matters outside the UK
- Lead the security team to support global, regional, and country teams in managing operational risks
- Coordinate or lead responses to global safety and security incidents and crises
- Facilitate learning and continuous improvement in the organisation’s safety and security practices
Key Skills:
- Proven experience in decision-making related to safety and security within humanitarian and/or development contexts
- Demonstrated ability to implement strategic safety and security objectives at a global scale
