Summary: The Ruby on Rails position is a remote contract role focused on developing and maintaining efficient Ruby code and APIs. The candidate will be responsible for implementing test frameworks and ensuring performance standards for web applications. Strong software engineering principles and adherence to Agile practices are essential for success in this role. Additional experience with PostgreSQL and web technologies is required.

Key Responsibilities:

• Write clean maintainable reusable and efficient Ruby code
• Develop APIs following industry standards
• Implement appropriate test frameworks and ensure adequate coverage for features
• Understand the end-to-end functionality of modern web applications and their performance under load
• Apply strong software engineering and architecture fundamentals
• Adhere to Agile best practices

Key Skills:

• Experience with PostgreSQL or similar databases
• Proficient in SQL including schemas indexes and query optimization
• Solid understanding of web technologies such as HTML5 CSS3 and JavaScript
• Mandatory Skills: Azure Functions, GitHub Co-Pilot, ROR
