Summary: The Ruby on Rails Engineer will lead engineering projects, breaking down work into manageable tasks and guiding multiple engineers to completion. The role requires significant experience in building maintainable and extensible full-stack functionality using Ruby on Rails, with a strong emphasis on object-oriented programming and thoughtful code reviews. The engineer will contribute to the development of accessible features within the MD FAMLI application.
Key Responsibilities:
- Engineering project leadership experience - someone who is comfortable owning an epic of work, including breaking it into tasks and leading completion of those across multiple engineers
- Significant experience building conventional, maintainable, well-tested, and extensible full-stack functionality in Ruby on Rails, in particular:
- Significant Fullstack Rails experience (5+ years experience with Ruby on Rails), really invested in good object-oriented programming, and ready for strong, thoughtful PR reviews.
- Contribute to the full-stack development of accessible and maintainable features within the MD FAMLI application.
