Key Responsibilities:

Role Overview:
A Ruby Developer is required for our higher education client to be part of a small and highly productive development team.
You will provide project based digital development and consultancy in the client's bespoke Ruby based technical environment (including Typecase and Typecase for Courses)
Essential Skills & Experience required
As the Ruby Developer you will possess the following:
Extensive, high-level experience of Ruby-based digital development, with a demonstrable portfolio of work.
Extensive experience of working with standard Ruby-based development software and workflows, including Gitlab etc.
In-depth technical experience of development on digital infrastructure, including the Typecase and Typecase for Courses content management systems, or equivalent experience of similar Ruby-based content management systems.
A formal qualification in Ruby-based digital development is advantageous, but not essential.
Ability to get up to speed with complex systems and infrastructure quickly and efficiently.
Proven ability to take the lead on digital development tasks
Experience of advising on technical strategy and infrastructure.
Experienced working in Agile development teams.
Experience of working with Jira or similar project management software.
