Summary: The Routing & Switching Engineer role focuses on managing and optimizing Cisco Routing & Switching technologies within datacenter networking environments. The position requires hands-on experience with network cutovers and migrations, as well as a strong understanding of Layer 2 and Layer 3 networking concepts. The engineer will be responsible for troubleshooting and supporting high-speed network environments. This is a 14-week remote position.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and optimize Cisco Routing & Switching technologies
  • Perform network cutovers and migrations
  • Support datacenter networking environments
  • Troubleshoot and test network issues
  • Work with VLANs, STP, BGP, and OSPF
  • Utilize TOR switch architecture and SFP-based switches
  • Support 10Gb and 25Gb network environments

Key Skills:

  • Strong experience with Cisco Routing & Switching technologies
  • Hands-on experience with datacenter networking environments
  • Experience performing network cutovers and migrations
  • Knowledge of Layer 2 and Layer 3 networking concepts

  • Familiarity with TOR (Top-of-Rack) switch architecture
