- Provide recommendations to application teams on database usage for production cases.
- Collaborate with automation engineers to set up infrastructure as code for provisioning.
- Establish standards for setting up databases in Azure along with networking best practices.
- Implement good security practices and standards.
- Support production Database Administrators in understanding Azure PaaS options and best practices.
- Set up disaster recovery solutions.
- Understand Azure platform options for database setup.
- Assist with automation and infrastructure as code efforts as a database Subject Matter Expert.

Job Description:
- We are looking for engineering focus with cloud PaaS (Platform-as-a-Service) databases, build environment standards, help team in automation efforts as database SME, recommend best practices for networking and security. Typically candidates we get that we want to avoid are Operations focused candidates, mostly doing On-Premises work and doing keep the lights on work.
- Install, deploy and configure Azure SQL Database and Azure SQL Managed Instance and related technologies
- Provide recommendations to application team on which database use for the production use cases
- Work with automation engineers and provide database options to setup infrastructure as code for provisioning
