Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and report on project budgets and financial performance.
- Provide financial advice and guidance on funding rules and processes.
- Manage the financial lifecycle of research projects, including set-up, invoicing, journal postings, funding claims and project closure.
- Prepare financial forecasts, including income, expenditure and salary forecasting.
- Cost project extensions and support financial planning.
- Maintain accurate financial records and prepare information for audits.
- Analyse financial data, investigate variances and ensure compliance with funding requirements.
- Build effective relationships with stakeholders and deliver excellent customer service.
- Contribute to continuous improvement by reviewing and enhancing financial processes.
About You: You will have:
- Experience in finance administration within a busy environment.
- Experience monitoring and reporting financial information.
- An AAT qualification (or equivalent finance experience).
- Strong Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office skills.
- Excellent analytical, organisational and communication skills.
- The ability to manage multiple priorities and work both independently and as part of a team.
Desirable
- Experience in research finance or grant management.
- Experience supporting financial audits.
- Project management experience.
