Remote Senior Analytics Engineer - Python/Data Visualization

A leading organization serving the Property & Casualty insurance industry is seeking a Senior Analytics Engineer to join a team responsible for developing and enhancing internal data and analytics solutions that drive business growth and strategic decision-making. In this role, you will help build and maintain a Python-based analytics platform that processes carrier and market data, validates and standardizes information, automates reporting, and delivers actionable insights to business stakeholders. The platform plays a critical role in supporting data-driven decision making and helping teams better understand market opportunities through advanced analytics and visualization. The ideal candidate is a highly motivated analytics professional who can hit the ground running with minimal ramp-up time. This team is looking for someone who brings strong hands-on Python experience, excels at working with complex real-world datasets, and can quickly make meaningful contributions in a fast-paced environment.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 4+ years of professional Python development experience
  • Experience building analytics, reporting, or data-focused applications
  • Strong experience working with Excel and CSV data sources
  • Experience cleaning, transforming, standardizing, and validating large datasets
  • Experience developing automated analytics and reporting solutions
  • Experience working with APIs and integrating external data sources
  • Strong data visualization experience
  • Ability to analyze large volumes of data and communicate actionable insights
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to work independently and contribute immediately with limited guidance

Desired Skills & Experience

  • Experience with Streamlit, Gradio, Taipy, or similar Python application frameworks
  • Experience with Pandera, Pydantic, or other data validation frameworks
  • Experience working with geospatial data
  • Experience within the Property & Casualty insurance industry
  • Experience supporting business development, sales analytics, or customer-facing analytics solutions
  • Familiarity with modern analytics engineering best practices

What You Will Be Doing Daily Responsibilities

  • 100% Hands-On
  • Design, develop, and maintain a Python-based analytics application
  • Process and analyze carrier and market datasets from various internal and external sources
  • Clean, standardize, validate, and reconcile large datasets
  • Build automated reporting and analytics workflows
  • Create dashboards, visualizations, and data products that support business decision-making
  • Integrate data from APIs, spreadsheets, and other structured sources
  • Identify trends, anomalies, and business opportunities through data analysis
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver analytics solutions
  • Improve data quality, performance, and scalability across analytics processes
  • Troubleshoot data issues and continuously optimize existing workflows
