Summary: The role of Project Planner at Arup involves managing and administering project programmes in accordance with NEC contracts, specifically focusing on the development and updates of Clause 31 and Clause 32 submissions. This position requires collaboration with pre-construction teams and stakeholders to ensure robust project planning and timely updates. The role is fully remote and is offered as a 6-month contract. Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and administer programmes in line with NEC contracts, including the development of Clause 31 programmes and ongoing updates to Clause 32 submissions.
  • Work closely with pre-construction teams, including design and environmental teams, to develop and maintain robust project programmes.
  • Develop detailed project programmes and update them on a monthly basis to reflect progress and change.
  • Liaise regularly with internal and external stakeholders to coordinate programme inputs and communicate updates.
  • Monitor and report on key milestones, progress, and risks against agreed timelines.
  • Apply construction experience where required, supporting programme delivery across a variety of projects.

Key Skills:

  • Strong planning background within large scale infrastructure or utilities programmes.
  • Experience working with organisations such as National Grid, National Grid ESO, SPEN, or similar.
  • Proven capability developing and managing NEC Clause 31 programmes.
  • Experience producing development and construction programmes, including cost loaded schedules and progress updates.
  • Confident engaging with multiple stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and delivery teams.
  • Construction phase planning experience strongly preferred.
