Summary: The role is for a REMOTE Principal React Engineer who will work with a trading client in London, focusing on modernizing an execution and order management trading system. The candidate will serve as an OpenFin Expert across five teams, leveraging their expertise in React, TypeScript, and related technologies. This position offers the flexibility of remote work while allowing local candidates the option to work on-site. The contract is expected to renew for a full 12 months in December.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead development as a Principal React Engineer/Architect across multiple teams.
- Utilize OpenFin, React, TypeScript, and other technologies to modernize trading systems.
- Collaborate with full-stack engineers to enhance OpenFin expertise within the teams.
- Participate in Agile methodologies to ensure efficient project delivery.
Key Skills:
- Strong experience as a Lead React Developer/Software Engineer/Programmer.
- Advanced knowledge of OpenFin.
- Excellent proficiency in JavaScript, TypeScript, and React.
- Experience in building Front Office trading systems.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies.
- Desirable: Experience with Ag-Grid and Fixed Income.

You will join a small department of 5 teams who are modernising an execution and order management trading system. You will come in as an OpenFin Expert to sit across the five teams in a Principal Engineer/Architect role. The tech stack is OpenFin, React, TypeScript, Ag-Grid, PlayWright and Node on the Front End. The five team have 5-8 full-stack engineers in each team, including people with OpenFin expertise. You will be hired to bolster this expertise.
The role can be 100% remote, however, if you are local, you could go into the office as you wish.
There is ongoing work with the client. In December, this will renew for a full 12 months.
Rate: £550 - 750/day
Duration: 6 - 12 months
