Summary: The role of DevSecOps/System Automation Engineer focuses on supporting Linux systems engineering and containerization efforts, requiring candidates to have extensive experience in system design, administration, and automation. Key Responsibilities:

  • Support Linux systems engineering efforts in system design and evaluation, solution engineering, software development, or system administration.
  • Administer container platforms such as Docker, OpenShift, Kubernetes, and/or EKS.
  • Utilize advanced scripting languages to write infrastructure as code and develop custom scripts for automation using Ansible, Python, Bash, and Terraform.
  • Work with a complex build system.
  • Apply knowledge of Agile methodologies or the software development life cycle (SDLC).

Key Skills:

  • 3+ years supporting Linux systems engineering.
  • 3+ years of experience as an administrator for container platforms.
  • 3+ years of experience with advanced scripting languages.

No outside US travel for longer than 90 consecutive days

Previous government experience would be great

Linux Environment experience

Containerization background- Kubernetes, openshift and Docker

  • 3+ years supporting Linux systems engineering efforts in system design and evaluation, solution engineering, software development, or system administration
  • 3+ years of experience as an administrator for one of the following container platforms: Docker, OpenShift, Kubernetes, and/or EKS
  • 3+ years of experience with advanced scripting languages, including how to write infrastructure as code and the development of custom scripts to automate capabilities including the use of Ansible, Python, Bash, and Terraform
  • Experience with a complex build system
  • Knowledge of Agile methodologies or the software development life cycle (SDLC)

Nice If You Have:

  • Experience with developing back-end software applications
  • Experience with leveraging Cloud service providers, including AWS and Azure, to create automated DevSecOps pipelines
  • Experience with configuring an Opensearch cluster and managing index lifecycle
