Summary: The Remote Commissioning Engineer at Modcon Systems Ltd. will be responsible for the commissioning, calibration, and start-up of advanced process analyzers at industrial sites globally. This role requires extensive technical expertise in process gas chromatography and various analyzers, along with practical field experience. The position involves remote work with significant international travel for on-site support during commissioning phases. The ideal candidate will also provide technical training and documentation as part of their responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform site acceptance testing (SAT), configuration, troubleshooting, loop checks, and calibration of analyzer systems.
- Provide on-site support during plant commissioning and startup phases, coordinating with local engineering teams, EPCs, and operators.
- Document commissioning reports, calibration protocols, and maintenance procedures per project requirements.
- Deliver technical training sessions and handover packages to plant operators and end-users.
- Collaborate remotely with the engineering team to support pre-commissioning activities and FATs.
Key Skills:
- Minimum 8 years of field experience in commissioning and startup of process analyzers.
- Proven hands-on expertise with online gas chromatography, optical and TDL analyzers, and electrochemical and optical liquid analysis.
- Strong understanding of process operations, sampling systems, and analyzer shelter integration.
- Ability to read and interpret P&IDs, electrical drawings, and installation schematics.
- Familiarity with relevant ATEX, IECEx, SIL, and industrial communication protocols (Modbus, HART, Profibus).
- Fluent in English; additional language skills are advantageous.
