Summary: Stefanini Group is seeking a Release Manager to coordinate and manage software releases across multiple teams, ensuring smooth deployments and effective communication with stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in release management, change management, and process improvement, with the ability to work collaboratively with both technical teams and executives. This remote position requires availability during specific release windows and flexibility for critical deployments. Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the single point of coordination for all CDP releases across seven delivery teams.
- Plan and schedule releases, managing the complete release calendar and coordinating timing across teams.
- Orchestrate dependencies between teams to prevent conflicts and ensure smooth deployments.
- Conduct release readiness assessments and go/no-go decision meetings.
- Coordinate release activities during deployment windows (5:00 PM - 10:00 PM ET).
- Manage rollback procedures when necessary and coordinate post-release validation.
- Manage change requests from initiation through closure.
- Prepare change documentation and present to Change Advisory Board (CAB) for approval.
- Ensure all changes follow Federal Reserve policies and compliance requirements.
- Track and report on change metrics and success rates.
- Maintain clear, timely communication with all stakeholders regarding release status, risks, and issues.
- Create and distribute release notes, deployment plans, and status reports.
- Facilitate release planning meetings with development teams and stakeholders.
- Provide executive-level summaries of release activities and outcomes.
- Maintain and evolve release management processes aligned with ITIL best practices.
- Identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies in the release process and drive improvements.
- Track release metrics (success rate, duration, incidents) and drive improvement initiatives.
- Proactively identify and escalate release risks and dependencies.
- Maintain a risk register and implement mitigation strategies.
- Conduct post-release reviews to identify improvement opportunities.
Key Skills:
- 2+ years managing releases in a software engineering or IT service delivery organization (Professional Level).
- 5+ years managing releases in a software engineering or IT service delivery organization (Senior Level).
- Demonstrated experience coordinating releases across multiple teams or products simultaneously.
- Experience working with Change Advisory Boards (CAB) and formal change management processes.
- Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation concepts.
- Familiarity with Agile and SAFe frameworks.
- Ability to understand technical discussions and deployment architectures (AWS cloud environment).
