Key Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end coordination of live releases across 16-20 delivery teams, ensuring smooth, low-risk deployment into production
- Manage complex release schedules with a planning window of 12-15 months, balancing competing priorities across multiple workstreams
- Lead release planning and execution across external-facing interfaces, including UI components, ensuring consistency and quality at the point of release
- Drive the full release management lifecycle from planning and risk assessment through to go-live and post-release review
- Act as the key point of contact between technical delivery teams and business stakeholders, ensuring alignment and clear communication throughout each release cycle
- Manage stakeholder expectations across technical and non-technical audiences, ensuring all parties are informed, aligned and satisfied with release outcomes
- Own and maintain accurate, high-quality technical release notes and documentation to support governance and audit requirements
- Identify and mitigate release-related risks, escalating and resolving blockers to maintain delivery momentum
- Contribute to continuous improvement of release processes across a large-scale, multi-team public sector programme
What We're Looking For
- Active SC Clearance
- Proven track record managing multiple concurrent releases within a large, complex delivery environment
- Strong understanding of GDS (Government Digital Service) standards and ways of working
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work confidently across technical and business functions
Security Clearance
Active SC Clearance is required for this role; candidates must hold current SC. Non SC wont consider this.
