The programme

An established organisation is automating its finance operations on Redwood Finance Automation.

The work covers the record-to-report cycle: the period-end close, account reconciliation, journal processing and the reporting that follows, all connected to the organisation's ERP.

What you will work on

• Close processes built and configured end to end: task lists, dependencies, approvals and the automated steps between them.
• Automated account reconciliation, including matching rules and exception handling.
• Journal entry automation, from data preparation and validation through to posting in the ERP.
• Integration with SAP S/4HANA or ECC and other source systems, through standard connectors, file and API interfaces.
• Intercompany, accrual and reclassification steps automated alongside the close.
• Workflow logic in REL or JavaScript where the standard designer does not meet the requirement.
• Unit and integration testing, defect fixing, and support through user acceptance testing.
• Promotion between environments, cutover and hypercare.
• Technical documentation and handover to the support team.

What you bring

• Hands-on delivery on Redwood Finance Automation (RunMyFinance), where you built close, reconciliation or journal processes yourself on at least one live implementation.
• 5 or more years in finance systems or automation engineering.
• Working knowledge of SAP FI/CO postings and master data, or the Oracle equivalent, and where ERP integrations tend to break.
• Workflow scripting in REL or JavaScript, and hands-on ERP integration.
• A finance-side understanding of the record-to-report cycle and month-end controls.

Useful but not essential:

• Redwood RunMyJobs workload automation.
• BlackLine, Trintech, or SAP Advanced Financial Closing.
• A current Redwood certification.
• Financial services or another regulated industry, including work under SOX or similar audit controls.
