Summary: The role is for a Senior React Developer to work on a public sector digital transformation project, requiring strong communication and consulting skills. This is a fully remote position with a 3-month rolling contract, classified as inside IR35, and involves monthly on-site visits to Glasgow. Candidates must have valid BPSS clearance or be eligible to obtain it.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate as a technical consultant on frontend and backend development
- Design and implement user interfaces using React, Angular, Node.js
- Develop APIs and contribute to backend development
- Ensure front-end security practices including CORS and Content Security Policy headers
- Use Nginx for network routing and web server configuration
- Participate in continuous integration and delivery pipelines
- Collaborate effectively across multidisciplinary teams to solve technical challenges
Key Skills:
- Strong experience with JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML, CSS/SCSS, and webpack
- Proficient in React, Angular, and Node.js
- Experience in API design and backend development
- Familiarity with web server technologies, especially Nginx
- Knowledge of front-end security standards and browser security features
- Exposure to continuous delivery/integration environments
- Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive mindset
