Summary: The RDCC Engineer position is a fully remote role requiring an active RCDD certification and extensive experience in structured cabling design within data center environments. Candidates should possess strong analytical skills and a background in IT service delivery, with a focus on engineering support for major IT projects. The role may involve minimal travel to locations in New York, Virginia, and Texas. Management experience and proficiency in multiple languages are desirable attributes for applicants.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare structured cabling designs in a data center environment.
- Provide engineering support for IT service delivery projects.
- Participate in the design and/or implementation of major IT projects.
- Modify designs to meet customer-driven requirements and installation challenges.
- Engage in process re-engineering efforts (ITIL, Six Sigma, etc.).
- Ensure compliance with relevant ISO/IEC, CENELEC, and BICSI standards.
- Utilize AutoCAD and Microsoft Office suite for design and documentation.
- Travel to data centers in the Mid-Atlantic Region and Texas as needed.

- Bachelor s degree in engineering, computer science, related field, and or technical training. Must have strong analytical skills.
- A minimum of ten years experience preparing structured cabling designs in a data center environment, with commercial infrastructure experience desirable (tenant fit-out).
- Strong background in IT service delivery role (i.e. engineering support for projects).
- Has participated in the design and/or implementation of major IT projects.
- Experience in process re-engineering efforts (ITIL, Six Sigma, MOF/MSF, etc.) is a plus.
- Conversant with relevant ISO/IEC, CENELEC, and BICSI structured cabling standards, and a working familiarity with how these standards are implemented in various regions (US, CALA, EMEA, Asia Pac).
- Working competence with modifying designs to meet customer-driven requirements and to accommodate unique installation challenges.
- Proficient with AutoCAD and the Microsoft Office suite, including Outlook. Familiarity with Visio is desirable.
- RCDD certification is REQUIRED and must be active.
- Management experience is desirable.
- Conversant in the English language.
- Proficiency in other languages is desirable.
- Willingness to TRAVEL to data centers throughout the Mid-Atlantic Region (NY & VA) and Texas. Additional locations may be added in the future.
