Summary: We are looking for Civil Engineers at all levels to join a railway infrastructure team in the UK, primarily working remotely. The role involves the design, maintenance, and delivery of rail civil engineering projects while ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards. Candidates should have relevant experience in railway engineering and a degree in Civil Engineering or a related field. The position is outside IR35 and offers a duration of 18 to 24 months.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and oversee construction and maintenance of railway infrastructure, including:
  • Prepare technical reports, drawings, and specifications.
  • Conduct site inspections and support project delivery from conception to completion.
  • Ensure compliance with Network Rail standards and UK health & safety regulations.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and liaise with contractors and stakeholders.
  • Signalling location case bases.
  • Signal post telephone bases and walkways.
  • Cable management systems.
  • Trough, duct and conduit.
  • Efficient, flexible, innovative service.
  • Kiosk and REB bases.
  • Signal posts, gantry bases and installation.

Key Skills:

  • Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline or relevant experience.
  • Chartered or working towards chartership (ICE or equivalent) preferred.
  • Experience in railway engineering projects in the UK.
  • Strong understanding of relevant standards (e.g., NR/L2/CIV/003).
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Flexibility to work on-site and travel as required.
