Summary: The R2R Functional Consultant role involves supporting a finance transformation programme focused on optimizing Record-to-Report processes. This position requires collaboration with Finance and IT teams to enhance efficiency and accuracy in financial operations. The consultant will lead workshops, analyze processes, and implement enhancements while ensuring compliance with governance frameworks. This is a remote position for a 5-month contract, classified as inside IR35.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead workshops with Finance and business stakeholders to gather and document requirements.
  • Analyse existing Record-to-Report (R2R) processes and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Design and implement process enhancements across the finance life cycle.
  • Produce functional specifications, process maps and detailed solution documentation.
  • Collaborate with technical teams to support configuration, development and system integration.
  • Support testing phases including SIT, UAT and defect management.
  • Deliver user training, knowledge transfer and adoption support.
  • Ensure financial processes comply with governance, risk and control frameworks.
  • Support programme delivery through status reporting, RAID management and stakeholder engagement.

Key Skills:

  • Proven experience as a Functional Consultant within Finance Transformation or ERP programmes.
  • Strong Microsoft Dynamics 365 experience.
  • Deep understanding of Record-to-Report (R2R) processes, including General Ledger management, Fixed Assets, Intercompany accounting, Accruals, prepayments, bank reconciliations, Period-end and year-end close processes, Financial consolidation, trial balance and reporting, Financial controls, compliance and audit support, Chart of Accounts governance and financial integrations.
  • Experience facilitating business process workshops and gathering requirements.
  • Strong stakeholder management across Finance, IT and leadership teams.
  • End-to-end project delivery experience in both Agile and Waterfall environments.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Your responsibilities as the R2R Functional Consultant:

  • Lead workshops with Finance and business stakeholders to gather and document requirements.

  • Analyse existing Record-to-Report (R2R) processes and identify opportunities for improvement.

  • Design and implement process enhancements across the finance life cycle.

  2. Fixed Assets and Intercompany accounting

  3. Accruals, prepayments and bank reconciliations

  5. Financial consolidation, trial balance and reporting

  6. Financial controls, compliance and audit support

  • Experience facilitating business process workshops and gathering requirements.

  • Strong stakeholder management across Finance, IT and leadership teams.

  • End-to-end project delivery experience in both Agile and Waterfall environments.

Desirable experience:

  • Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (F&O)
