Quality Assurance Engineer | $80/hr Remote

Summary: The Quality Assurance Engineer role is a contract position focused on ensuring the quality of web and mobile applications through comprehensive testing practices. The engineer will create test plans, execute various testing types, and collaborate with developers to validate integrations. This remote role requires a commitment of 10-40 hours per week and emphasizes continuous improvement in testing processes. Key Responsibilities:

• Create and maintain detailed test plans, test cases, and test documentation aligned with project requirements.
• Perform functional, regression, user acceptance, exploratory, and cross-browser testing for web and mobile applications, including the LINE app.
• Conduct thorough API testing and collaborate with developers to validate integrations.
• Identify, log, and track defects using industry-standard defect tracking tools, ensuring clear and actionable bug reports.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies, contribute to sprint planning, and ensure quality deliverables throughout the SDLC and STLC.
• Champion quality assurance best practices to drive continuous improvement across testing processes within the customer's team.

Key Skills:

• Minimum of hands-on experience in manual testing of web or mobile applications.
• Proficiency in designing and executing test cases, test plans, and test documentation.
• Strong experience in regression, functional, exploratory, and user acceptance testing.
• Demonstrated ability in bug reporting, defect tracking, and cross-browser testing.
• Solid understanding of SDLC, STLC, and Agile methodologies.
• Hands-on experience with API testing and mobile app testing.
