Senior Qualification Designer (Contract – Project Based)

TLM (The Learning Machine) is an Ofqual and Qualifications Wales regulated awarding organisation. We are seeking an experienced Senior Qualification Designer to support a defined qualification design project.

Contract: Independent contractor

Project term: February 2026 – 1 April 2026

Location: Remote (UK-based preferred)

The Role

You will deliver regulator-ready qualification design outputs within a fixed project timeframe. The role requires strong expertise in qualification structure, assessment design, and quality assurance, with the ability to work autonomously while collaborating with senior internal stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and refine regulated and non-regulated qualifications
  • Develop qualification structures, units, learning outcomes, and assessment criteria
  • Design valid, reliable assessment models aligned to awarding-body standards
  • Produce clear documentation suitable for internal QA and regulatory review
