Summary: The QA Tester (PowerBI) role is a remote position focused on ensuring the accuracy and integrity of enterprise reporting solutions, particularly dashboards and reports developed in Power BI. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical testing skills and experience in AGILE environments, with a focus on developing automated test scripts. This position requires proactive communication and accountability within a distributed Scrum team. The contract duration is 12+ months, emphasizing a detail-oriented approach to BI QA testing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with product owners and Scrum teams to understand acceptance criteria and translate them into comprehensive test cases.
  • Execute manual and automated test cases to validate data accuracy, completeness, and consistency across reports and dashboards.
  • Identify, document, and track defects and data issues, working closely with developers to ensure timely resolution.
  • Develop and maintain automated testing scripts using SQL and Python to improve testing efficiency and scalability.
  • Participate in Agile Scrum ceremonies, contributing to sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Support continuous improvement of QA processes and documentation.

Key Skills:

  • 5+ years of experience in BI QA testing, with a focus on validating data-driven reports and dashboards.
  • Proficiency in Excel, SQL, and Python for test automation and data validation.
  • Experience testing Power BI, Tableau, or other cloud-based reporting platforms.
  • Strong understanding of Agile development methodologies.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.

This role is 100% REMOTE

Seeking a detail-oriented BI QA Tester to ensure the accuracy, completeness, and integrity of enterprise reporting solutions. This role is critical to validating dashboards and reports developed in Power BI and other cloud-based tools, ensuring they meet business requirements and deliver trusted insights. The ideal candidate will have strong technical testing skills, experience in AGILE environments, and the ability to develop automated test scripts tailored to data and reporting needs. They will thrive in a distributed Scrum team, managing their own deliverables and staying accountable through clear, consistent communication. They will take ownership of their work, communicates proactively, and drives progress without needing close supervision.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
