Summary: The QA Tester will be responsible for planning, executing, and reporting quality assurance activities to ensure the integrity of Oracle Fusion and EPM implementations and upgrades. This role involves developing test plans, executing various types of testing, and collaborating with stakeholders to resolve defects. The candidate will also validate data migration and ensure testing meets quality standards. Strong experience with Oracle Financials and EPM is essential for success in this position.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review and understand business requirements, functional specifications, and technical design documents for Oracle Fusion Financials and EPM modules.
- Develop and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts (manual and/or automated).
- Perform functional, integration, system, regression, and UAT testing for Oracle Financials modules such as:
- General Ledger (GL)
- Accounts Payable (AP)
- Accounts Receivable (AR)
- Fixed Assets (FA)
- Cash Management
- Procurement
- Order Management
- Inventory
- Projects
- Contracts
- Conduct testing for Oracle EPM components such as:
- Planning & Budgeting Cloud Service (PBCS)
- Financial Consolidation and Close
- Profitability and Cost Management
- Identify, document, and track bugs using tools like JIRA.
- Collaborate with functional consultants, developers, and business users to resolve defects and validate fixes.
- Validate data migration, financial reports, integrations (e.g., with third-party systems), and security configurations.
- Participate in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives if part of an Agile team.
- Ensure testing is completed on time and meets quality standards.
Key Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Finance, or related field.
- 4+ years of QA/testing experience, with at least 3+ years focused on Oracle Fusion Financials and/or EPM.
- Strong understanding of financial processes and terminologies.
- Experience with Oracle Cloud environments and upgrades.
- Familiarity with automation testing tools (e.g., Selenium, OATS, Oracle Test Manager) is a plus.
- Experience with test management and bug-tracking tools like JIRA, HP ALM, TestRail, or similar.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
