QA Tester / Education / Remote

In this role, you will work closely with Product Managers, Software Engineers, and UX Designers to validate new features, identify software defects, and ensure high-quality releases across web and mobile applications. You'll participate throughout the software development lifecycle by creating test plans, executing manual and automated testing, documenting issues, and collaborating with development teams to resolve defects. Required Skills & Experience

• 3+ years of experience in Software Quality Assurance or QA Testing
• Experience with automated testing tools such as Selenium or Cypress
• Experience performing manual testing across web and mobile applications
• Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, SDLC, and Agile development environments
• Experience writing detailed test plans, test cases, and bug reports
• Experience using defect tracking and project management tools such as Jira or Azure DevOps
• Strong knowledge of functional, regression, smoke, integration, and user acceptance testing
• Experience working closely with Product Managers, Developers, and UX teams throughout the development lifecycle
• Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills

Desired Skills & Experience

• Experience testing responsive web applications and mobile applications
• Familiarity with API testing using Postman or similar tools
• Basic knowledge of SQL for backend data validation
• Experience working within CI/CD pipelines and modern development workflows
• Strong communication and documentation skills
• Passion for delivering high-quality user experiences and continuous improvement
• Experience in education technology, publishing, or SaaS environments is a plus

What You Will Be Doing Daily Responsibilities

• Execute manual testing for new features, enhancements, and product releases
• Develop and maintain detailed test plans, test cases, and testing documentation
• Identify, document, and track software defects while working closely with engineering teams to resolve issues
• Perform functional, regression, smoke, integration, and user acceptance testing across multiple platforms
• Validate web, mobile, and API functionality to ensure products meet business and technical requirements
• Collaborate with Product Managers, Developers, and UX Designers throughout the software development lifecycle
• Participate in sprint planning, backlog grooming, and release readiness activities within an Agile environment
• Assist with automated testing initiatives and continuous quality improvement efforts
• Verify bug fixes and ensure production releases meet quality standards before deployment
• Help improve QA processes, testing strategies, and best practices across the engineering organization
