Summary: The QA Tester (Data / Analytics) role involves supporting a major data and analytics program within a leading global insurance organization. The position focuses on validating data pipelines, reporting outputs, and analytics solutions, ensuring data accuracy and integrity. This hands-on role requires expertise in automated testing frameworks and SQL-based data validation. The ideal candidate will have significant experience in QA testing within data environments, particularly in the insurance sector.
Key Responsibilities:
- Performing end-to-end testing across analytics and reporting platforms used within the insurance business.
- Validating and reconciling data across Medallion architecture layers, ensuring consistency and data integrity.
- Creating and executing test cases for data pipelines, ETL processes, and reporting outputs.
- Querying data warehouses and MI reports using SQL to validate test scenarios.
- Supporting the management and execution of automated testing frameworks.
- Working closely with data engineers, analytics teams, and business stakeholders to ensure outputs meet user requirements.
- Testing solutions built on Microsoft Azure and Azure Data Factory.
- Ensuring reporting and analytics solutions deliver accurate insights for internal stakeholders.
- Contributing to the continuous improvement of testing practices within data and analytics environments.
Key Skills:
- 5+ years’ professional experience in QA or software testing, ideally within data or analytics environments.
- ISTQB certification or equivalent testing qualification.
- Strong experience validating data pipelines and data warehouse outputs.
- Hands-on SQL experience for querying and validating test scenarios.
- Exposure to Microsoft SQL Server BI stack, including SQL RDMS, SSIS, SSAS, and SSRS.
- Experience working with cloud-based data platforms, particularly Microsoft Azure and Azure Data Factory.
- Familiarity with ETL tools such as Informatica would be beneficial.
- Experience managing or supporting automated testing processes.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.

You will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and reliability of data flowing through a Medallion architecture, supporting business-critical reporting and analytics capabilities.
